Sandra Siegienski is a speech pathologist who lives amid the beautiful forests of the Pacific Northwest, so trees and plants often find a way into her stories. Her works have appeared in The Colored Lens, Shelter of Daylight, Andromeda Spaceways, and The Timberline Review, and they've received over 30 recognitions from contests such as the Mike Resnick Memorial Award and Writers of the Future.

Sandra recently won Second Place in the Writers of the Future contest (Quarter One, 2026), and her story in anthology Volume 43 is set to be published in April 2027.

As an enthusiastic student of languages, dance, music, and many other pursuits, Sandra loves bringing reflection, joy, a spark of humor, and poignancy to her pages (as well as plenty of commas), along with a good ending. Her writing place is a tiny wildlife refuge called her backyard, where she can adopt any neighborhood pet seeking a carefree sanctuary. When not working or spending time with friends and family, she is writing multiple novels as well as short stories. She is a member of Willamette Writers, Apex Writers, The Wordos, SCBWI, and Wordcrafters in Eugene.
